The Torino Scale is a method for categorising the impact hazard associated with near-Earth objects such as asteroids and comets. German musician Xaver Von Treyer made a concept album, through which he interprets his idea of Earth at it’s earliest stages, to the origin of life in the so called primordial soup and inevitably, it’s demise.
Symbolic imagery was used throughout the process. The covers represent the three physical states - solid, liquid and gas. All covers were physicaly made using different techniques such as 3D printing, Laser cutting, smoke machine and hand carving from a grave stone.
